MY STORY
My name is Leanne Nguyen and I am currently passionate about cosmetic brow tattooing and all things brows! Although I spent years in school to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, I realized I wanted to turn my part-time job into a full-time entrepreneurial passion. I started my beauty business home-based and moved on to opening Alinea Beauty Studio, a small beauty studio in Little Italy, in February of 2021. However, in June 2023 I made the decision to close the studio to allow more time and flexibility to pursue other life goals.
I am multi-certified and currently hold a total of 13 certifications in cosmetic brow tattooing, brow corrections, colour theory, eyelash services and lash lifts. I first began working at a salon in 2012 where I learned the art of eyelash extensions. I later enrolled in a Phibrows Microblading course with the prestigious European academy, Phi Academy, known for their quality work and rigorous certification process. I became certified in October 2018.
To deliver clients the best possible service with cutting-edge industry knowledge, I carefully select my courses and trainers to learn from all over North America. I continued to further my Microblading training with a few more certifications from Phi Academy and master trainer, Yael Malkin, in Toronto. At the end of 2019, I took a comprehensive Powder Ombre Brow training with Seven Ink Beauty in California to provide clients with more options for semi-permanent brow makeup since Microblading is not suitable for all skin types. In 2022, I traveled to Vancouver and Oakland to learn the incredible nano hair stroke technique from Maya Moore and Alex Mechenici. Other reputable artists I’ve learned from include Permanent Beauty by Lilli and Brows by Linnie. I’m passionate about continuous education. I truly believe that there is always room for improvement and that knowledge is king!
As an artist, I am detailed oriented and thorough, which truly complements the type of work that I do. I highly prioritize client safety due to the nature of tattooing where blood and potential bloodborne pathogens are involved. Clients from all over usually seek me out for my ability to create natural tattoo results with a high caliber of care, which is reflected in my work portfolio on my Instagram page.
